- 9 November, 8 pm
- 33/45, Barcelona
Lydia Metral, alumni on the Postgraduate Diploma in Photography and Editorial Design, is opening the Les Insouciants exhibition, a collection of photographs that pay tribute to youth and diversity.
“Les "Insouciants is a series of portraits of young adults photographed in their bedrooms or their apartments. For four years, I’ve searched for young people in my close environment to show them just as they are, in their intimate space, forged in their image and where they can express themselves freely. This work is a tribute to youth, to singularity, to difference and to variety. Here, I haven’t wanted to make a difference of gender, sexuality or social class, with a view to showing both a universal and a singular youth. In a fractured and divided world, where inequalities and discriminations remain, it seemed essential to me to show this youth beyond the divisions that are often imposed on us. These young people have been photographed in cities where I’ve lived or that I’ve visited with the aim of opening up the project to the world.”
