"Jumps for the city" at the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona
- 10 to 22 September
- Museu del Disseny de Barcelona
From 10th to 22nd September, the Museu del Disseny de Barcelona will host the exhibition "Jumps for the city" with the design obstacles created for one of the most prestigious equestrian competitions in the world: the International Jumping Competition (CSIO), which takes place at the Real Club de Polo de Barcelona.
These are pieces that symbolise monuments or emblematic works of Barcelona such as the Sagrada Familia, the Ensanche neighbourhood or the obstacle "Metrópolis", a tribute to the city's metro network carried out in 2018 by Anna Milla, a student of EINA Bachelor’s Degree in Design.
The exhibition has the same route that a rider would do shortly before competing, to learn the order of the obstacles. All the obstacles exhibited, designed for students of art and design schools in the city, become part of the routes of CSIO Barcelona.
