Presentation of the mural intervention by the students on the Illustration Techniques subject on the Wall Lab at Parc del Fòrum.
Students on Illustration Techniques, a subject in the 4th year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Design, led by Enric Font, took part from 12 to 16 December in the first intervention of the Wall Lab project at the Parc del Fòrum, working from an idea designed by student Nastia Casteleiro.
The Wall Lab by Wallspot is a professional long-term mural creation project in different format spaces. Unlike pop-up open walls, the Wall Lab spaces will host works for a year. This permanence means considerably increasing the visual impact of the work created and, consequently, imbues the mural with added interest and value.
Participating students: Queralt Anglada Peláez | Noelia Aparicio Agudo | Carla Ballester Puente | Patricia Canton Fumanal | Nastia Casteleiro Sánchez-Candamio | Carla Cuba Miñano | É́dgar Duch Miret | Gabriela Eskenazi Faurous | Sarai Herrera Alonso | Iria Martínez Rubio | José Nerin Coronas | Albert Puig Sáenz | Anna Pujol Ballesté | Joel Smythe López
Once again this year, as part of the 3rd Design for Life Conference, devoted this year to functional diversity, prosthesis and cyborgs, a presentation will be given of projects by several design schools, including EINA.
"Trail running has caught the attention of lower-limb amputee sportspeople, a handicap which, far from distancing them from this discipline, has motivated them to take up this new adventure with a prosthesis not designed for it.
This was the main reason for proposing the design of a new prosthesis with the characteristics required by mountain terrain and its users. Tacking the project involved looking at how other products work, introducing new materials and systems from other areas, always under the supervision of professionals from this field.
The end result is a proposed prosthesis based on certain key points that make it suitable for trail running, forming the theory behind the creation of prototypes and ensuring that the design evolves in a practical direction".
The exhibition: Triunfar Estampando: the Making Of highlights the processes, developments, experiences and original graphics that were developed to conceive the illustrative content of the paper publication "Triunfar Estampando” [Triumph Stamping], by the shop specialising in stamping systems and graphic solutions Vostok. The show tells of the secrets of this work and of how stamping is not just something for the cultured.
Triunfar Estampando not only offers a comprehensive analysis of some of the stamping techniques and graphic processes done by the Vostok shop, a benchmark in the field, but it also helps create new knowledge to start deciding for yourself.

The Bachelor's Degree in Design ends with the presentation of the Final Bachelor's Degree Projects by the students in each of the mentions taught at EINA: Graphic Design, Design of Spaces, Product Design, Visual Creation and Design Culture.
This year, under the title “Pro-eject!”, the Simon 100 showroom hosted the presentation and exhibition of the 90 Final Bachelor's Degree Projects completed during the 2017-2018 academic year and ran from 17 to 19 July.
“Pro-eject!” is an exhibition that is open to the public and displays the range of proposals completed by the students on the Bachelor's Degree in Design with the thoroughness, commitment and demands that today’s society requires of professionals in this field.
The projects on display reflected the academic quality, the ability to analyse context, experimentation and the creation of new languages, all while fostering the innovative power of design.
“Pro-eject!” is an opportunity to discover the talent of young designers, find out new approaches and assess strategic proposals that bring a decisive value to the world of design.
Natàlia Pàmies, a recent graduate on the Bachelor’s Degree in Design, will be at the Blanc Campus as part of the BLANC Festival, presenting SOROR, her Final Bachelor’s Degree Project, a publishing project on inequality faced by women in today’s world. It is a series of publications where each one covers a form of gender inequality, with its design adapting to this. Through thought and critique, her mission is to create a gender-free magazine to ensure that feminism reaches everyone and to raise global awareness.
